BA’s website ‘Flights to Tobago’ page makes the lazy mistake of referring to Trinidad’s Piarco Airport in its information about flying to Tobago. The Tobago flight does not go to Trinidad. It leaves London Gatwick North Terminal, makes a stop in Antigua, and then goes on to Tobago. The aircraft used is a Boeing 777, total flight time to Tobago is 11 hrs and 5 mins and it’s a daytime flight. British Airways

Germany:

Condor flights to Tobago are weekly from Frankfurt International to Tobago, via Barbados.  Condor

Canada:

Caribbean Airlines flies direct once a week from Lester B. Pearson International Airport, Toronto into Port of Spain, Trinidad from where you can catch a 20 minute air bridge flight to Tobago or use the ferry.  Caribbean Airlines

Caribbean Airlines flies direct once a week with a 6 hour flight from JFK New York to Port of Spain, Trinidad from where you can catch a 20 minute air bridge flight to Tobago or use the ferry. Caribbean Airlines

Brazil:

Brazil’s largest airline, GOL, has a weekly direct flight between Tobago and Sao Paulo, Brazil, with one stop in Barbados.  The flight, which takes 7 hours, comes with an introductory fare of US$599 return. GOL

The ‘Air Bridge’ between Trinidad and Tobago

There are about 20 daily flights between Trinidad and Tobago starting from around 6am and lasting roughly 20 minutes.  This service is run by Caribbean Airlines

You can purchase tickets online or at the airport counter in Trinidad and Tobago. It’s easy to book flights when you are there.

Note!

Airport Departure Tax

For any traveller leaving Tobago, there is a mandatory TT$200 per person (about GBP £20), airport departure tax to be paid; so keep that amount put aside. Children aged 5 years or less are exempt. Some airlines include the departure tax into the airfare – check before you fly.
